We went to see Rhonda today. She looked so much better. She was hooked up to her dialysis while we were there and the alarm kept going off because she was talking to us and moving too much. The nurse had to come in every time and turn off the alarm. It was hard for Rhonda to hold still and talk. Although she wanted to talk, she finally found a good spot and held still while she spoke. We had a great visit for a good 20 minutes.
She was happy for feeling better and the hope of being home in Placerville for Christmas, but getting frustrated of being stuck in bed. That is a good sign that she is getting frustrated. She still has her spunk. She was even joking with us and telling us hospital stories.
She asked for prayer so her blood pressure would stabilize on it's own. That is one of the things that has to happen before she can come home for Christmas.
Hopefully she can move out of ICU tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteWe are encouraged to know that Rhonda is in good hands with her extended California family.
Thanx again,

Thank you so much for these updates. So glad Rhonda is feeling better. She is so special and so beautiful. I pray she can be home for Christmas, and that her treatment continues to go well. Our hearts are with Rhonda and the entire Burkey and Catlett families. You are all so special to all of us. If there is anything we can help with, please call. Praying for God's spirit to give you all peace, and praying that He will completely restore Rhonda's health.
ReplyDeleteWith much love from Becky and her family.
Good morning Rhonda! I woke up very early this morning with you on my mind to pray for. Know that throughout the night and in the wee hours of the morning, you (& your family) are being covered in prayer. We celebrate with you that your body is responding well to the treatments. I will specifically be praying that the Lord will touch your body and regulate a healthy blood pressure. He knows every detail about you, Rhonda. You are under His watchful eye. May you feel His presence right now in your hospital room. You are His beloved daughter, the apple of His eye!
