It's Time

This morning Rhonda has a special visit with her kids. The plan was for them to say their goodbyes. How are you supposed to do that?

Today they are unplugging her from everything. She wants to come home for her last few days. Her heart is not holding up. The disease has attacked her heart terribly.

Ron wants everyone to know they have an amazing peace from the Lord. Rhonda is ready to go to heaven, in fact, she can't wait! She can't wait to see Brenda, Grandpa and others. Ron and her have talked about everything they can think of for after she is gone. You know Rhonda the planner...

Pray for Ron, Ronnie and Becky. And Wally and Betty and family.

Dang, I'm jealous! How amazing would that moment be!!!!!

  1. To Ron, Ken, Penney, Mom, Dad and all you wonderful kids:
My heart and soul is being lifted as high as possible in prayer for a miracle. If a miracle is not in God's plan, then I have faith in his judgement and know that Rhonda will be in
s a very, very special place. My tears are for you guys, having to relive such pain of loss, despite knowing that Rhonda will be more ok than any of you, or us. Kathy and I are so very sorry for what you all are going through. It tears at our soul. May God shower you all with the love and knowledge that all is as it should be, even if it does not agree with what we would like. Kathy and I love you dearly and will keep you guys in the forefront of our thoughts and prayers
    love

  2. I love you Rhonda. I didn't get to spend nearly enough time with you. But in that limited time, I found you to be one of the sweetest, most loving people I've ever met. You brighten up every room you're in, and you make everyone around you feel comfortable, welcome, and loved. You are dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
All my love to you and your family,
    Shannon

  3. My heart is so torn... heavy and yet lifted. Only because I DO know the utter joy of releasing loved ones into the arms of our Savior. I also know the void of missing their presence here in our daily lives. Please know that we are praying desperately for your peace and the comfort our Lord so graciously gives us during times of human helplessness. He truly is an awesome God and knows how to meet our needs in ways we could never anticipate. From personal experience, I strongly recommend the book, "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. It will truly minister to your hearts. Deep love from Ron's cousin, Karen. PLEASE let us know if we can help in any way.

  4. Rhonda,

What a beautiful lady you are. Your life has been a radiant example of Jesus living through you. Thank you. Even through this difficult time, I sense your sweet spirit. You are in HIS hands.

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one. (John 10:27-30)

    Love,

    Jenny Woods & family

  7. Rhonda-

You hold such a special place in my hear. I have learned so much from you. I have grown in my walk with God by just watching you as a wife, mother and friend. I have shared bible study with you, sleepovers, and some great fellowship. I will hold those memories close. Every time I wear that awesome green jacket I will think of you and smile.

My family and I will continue to hold you and your family up in prayer. May peace rain over all of you.

You truly are a one of a kind lady.

    With much love,

    Karla Ogle & Family

  8. I'm so not ready for "it to be time" Rhonda. I am still hoping it is not. But, I trust God in His sovereignty and love and know His will be done. It is a comfort to hear the peace He has put on your hearts. What wisdom He has given you, Rhonda, to go home and be with your family for Christmas and to get to talk with your kids. God's love has certainly been shown here in just seeing that He has given you some time to say what you need or want to -- maybe not to everyone, but to those who are most important. I believe He will allow this Christmas celebration of your lives together because of your love and faithfulness to Him. If God does take you Home soon, know that we will miss you greatly. WE LOVE YOU, RHONDA.

  9. Dearest Rhonda,
We've never met, but yet, I know someday we will. I'm not sure why I'm writing this. My heart is aching for your family, because I know the missing is the hardest part...letting our loved ones go. Although, what sweet rejoice for you to be going home!!! Our true home, with Our Creator, Our Ever-Loving Father. Knowing that you will see loved ones that have gone on before you. And in the twinkling of an eye, you will be with ALL those who love you, and can't wait to meet you. Rhonda, I know you don't know me, (I've been praying for you, via Penny), but please know that I, too, will continue to hold your family up in prayer. God is great and His love endures forever. May His peace be with all of you. I will see you in eternity. Looking forward to you introducing me to your whole family, on that day.
Rest well, my sweet sister in Christ.

  10. Dear Heavenly Father, With heavy heart I come to You. You are Almighty Creator God; holy and full of grace and love. My heart is heavy because of a life that is possibly leaving us. Death engulfs us Lord. Fear is waiting to take us down. Thank You Father, that because of Jesus, You know our pain and sorrow intimately. Thank You that Jesus knows the way through this dark shadow. Take the hand of my dear sister Rhonda and make Yourself known. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Keep that which is Your own and if it be your will take it into eternity to be with You. In Jesus, death is but a shadow. Jesus has swallowed up its sorrows and pain. Thank You Jesus for the cross. Thank You Jesus for the resurrection. Lord, we are before You, confessing that You are Lord of all; the gate keeper to eternal life. Your grace and love abound even as our sin seems ever increasing. Take our hands Lord and lead us through. We lay our fears at your feet. Your promise is that You -- and You alone -- will come to take us home. As it says in Psalm 23:4: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Thank you for the comfort the Catletts will find in Your presence. Through the Holy Spirit we know Your presence is with them. Send Your peace Lord; the peace that passes all understanding. Don’t let us waiver and doubt. Give us a faith that is everlasting. We release our lives into Your hands. As we wait and watch, we know Lord that none of us will escape this journey through death. Teach us how to embrace it with faith. Give us strength to hold up those who are stepping closer to seeing You face to face. Take away any. May Ron, Ronnie and Becky find peace in Your grace, comfort in Your love, and strength in Your mighty power over death. Comfort when grief seems to over power us.

You are a good, just, righteous, and loving Father. Don’t let us grow bitter in this shadow of death. But pierce our hearts with a joy that we can not fathom or understand. Jesus you wept over death and so too, we weep. But it is a grief and a mourning that holds joy on the other side. You are conqueror of all; and so we trust You. We trust that You will do what is right, what is loving. Whether in death or in life Your will is accomplished and You are sovereign. May we know Your presence, Lord. Keep us ever aware of Your loving hand guiding us through all things. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen
